The Story :

Each year since 1999, Solidays festival welcomes more than 80 bands and displays in the meantime the largest window on today’s AIDS issues.

Attracting thousand and thousand people from all over France and Europe, Solidays is a one-of-a-kind experience where music and solidarity come as one, where 150 000 claim their consciousness about today’s AIDS issues while attending the best lives given by the year’s greatest successes, the living legends and the newcomers.

During 3 days and 2 nights, 3000 volunteers give their best to create the unique atmosphere of the festival, and to keep alive the wonderful chain of solidarity the festival depends on.
Indeed, all profits from the festival are donated by Solidarité Sida to national and international AIDS fighting NGO’s on the basis of (s)elected projects.

Solidarity is a key word for the festival and the organization. Therefore we have managed to maintain a low ticket price so that anyone can participate and support the HIV fight.
Attending the festival is also as cheap as attending a show as the 3 days & 2 nights pass costs 35€ to 45€.

Beside providing one of the most original line-up each year, Solidays displays each year the largest window on world AIDS issues and the most accurate information thank to an NGO Village, welcoming HIV fighting NGO’s from around the world, a Forum, where debates are held during the whole festival, and several exhibitions – aimed to raise awareness.

Since 2009, the 5 stages of the festival have welcomed artists such as : Muse, Robbie Williams, Kaiser Chiefs, David Guetta, The Gossip, The Roots, Lauryn Hill, Femi Kuti, Keane, No Doubt, Iggy Pop, Moby, Lily Allen, Toots & the Maytals, Moby, sean Lennon, Patti Smith, Morcheeba, Laurent Garnier, !!!, George Clinton, Paolo Nutini, Archive, Foals, UB40, Death in Vegas, The Coors (…)
